The Front Door of Global Commerce

About Amazon & Our Dominant Culture

Before an item can be bought, picked, or shipped, it must first be received. The Inbound Dock is where the sheer scale of Amazon's supply chain becomes visible. Semi-trucks from around the world arrive continuously, packed with millions of products. If you thrive on intense physical labor, high-energy environments, and want Amazon jobs that keep you in peak physical condition, the Receive Dock is your arena. This is the heavy-lifting core of our fulfillment center.

What Our Associates Say: Real Employee Reviews

Dock workers pride themselves on their grit and teamwork. A recent employee review highlighted: "Working the inbound dock is a serious workout, but the camaraderie is unmatched. You are emptying 53-foot trailers with a tight-knit crew, throwing boxes onto the belt, and listening to music. It’s tough work, but the high pay, immediate benefits, and zero need for a gym membership make it the most rewarding warehouse associate job I’ve had."

Job Summary

As a Dock Worker (Inbound Unloader), you will be stationed at the massive bay doors of the facility. You will manually unload floor-loaded trailers, transferring a relentless stream of varied boxes onto telescoping conveyor belts. You will also use manual and electric pallet jacks to maneuver heavy freight into staging zones. This role is highly physical, fast-paced, and absolutely critical to feeding the entire downstream warehouse operation.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Trailer Unloading: Rapidly and safely unload loose, floor-loaded freight from hot or cold semi-trailers, continuously lifting boxes weighing up to 49 lbs.
• Conveyor Feeding: Organize and space boxes perfectly onto the inbound conveyor belts so that downstream automated scanners can read the barcodes without jamming.
• Pallet Breakdown: Utilize electric pallet jacks to pull massive pallets of merchandise out of trucks, staging them accurately in the inbound receiving lanes.
• Safety Enforcement: Ensure dock plates are perfectly secured, trailer wheels are chocked, and all safety tethers are utilized before ever stepping foot inside a docked trailer.

Industry-Leading Benefits

We reward hard physical work with dominant financial security:

• Anytime Pay: Access up to 70% of your earned wages immediately after you finish your heavy shift—no waiting for payday.
• Unmatched Healthcare: World-class medical, dental, and vision insurance packages available on Day 1.
• Career Growth: Gain valuable experience in heavy logistics, paving the way for promotions into transportation or PIT operations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Extreme physical stamina required; ability to continuously lift, throw, bend, and twist with heavy boxes for up to 10-12 hours a day inside trailers.
• Ability to work safely in environments with varying temperatures (trailers can be hot in summer and cold in winter).
